Support

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I create recurring appointments?

Create a normal appointment, then use the repeat key binding
(defaults to r) to convert it into a recurring item.

Can I synchronize calcurse with other calendar software?

calcurse supports iCal imports and exports. Any application supporting
these formats can be synchronized by using a simple script. For
experimental CalDAV support, check out the calcurse-caldav script
which is part of the latest release.

How do I setup CalDAV synchronization?

    Check the
    calcurse-caldav documentation.

Is it possible to get rid of the messages confirming loaded/saved data?

Yes, disable the general.systemdialogs setting from within the
    configuration menu.

Reporting Bugs

To open a bug, send a mail to the bugs mailing list. Check the
Mailing Lists section below for details on how to
subscribe. Do not forget to include the following information:

The version of the calcurse release being used.

Indicate whether or not the functionality worked before.

Any error output. Also, try to obtain a stack trace if calcurse crashed.

Information on how to reproduce the bug.

Please follow up on bugs and give continued feedback if requested.

Alternatively, you can use the GitHub issue tracker.

Mailing Lists

The mailing lists should be your first point of contact. Please be sure to
read the relevant parts of the user manual before asking
  questions.

At the moment, there are four different lists:

announce at calcurse dot org – release announcements
    (archives)

misc at calcurse dot org – for calcurse users, development
    and general discussion
    (archives)

bugs at calcurse dot org – for bug reports
    (archives)

i18n at calcurse dot org – for translators and translation
    bugs
    (archives)

To subscribe to one of the mailing lists, send an empty mail to one of the
mailing list addresses, adding +subscribe to the local part
  (announce+subscribe instead of announce,
  misc+subscribe instead of misc, bugs+subscribe
instead of bugs, i18n+subscribe instead of i18n).
To unsubscribe, use the unsubscribe keyword, respectively.

Note that we use spamd with
greylisting, so don't panic if your mails are delayed the first time you post
  to one of the lists.

Developer Contact

The calcurse dev team follows all mailing lists. If you want to send a direct
mail to the lead developer, submit it to Lukas Fleischer <lfleischer
  at calcurse dot org>.
